BBC1 show Countryfile considers return visit to Northumberland village

Researchers have been in touch with Bamburgh Parish Council about the possibilities of coming to film an episode later this month.
Coun Barbara Brook, parish council chairman, said: “Countryfile are thinking about coming to Bamburgh at the end of July.

Hide Ad"We have been approached by a researcher who said they want to visit a village where people have been involved in lockdown and how everyone has supported each other.
"Apparently the Countryfile presenters are a bit fed up presenting from their back yards and they want to come somewhere a bit more picturesque and have earmarked Bamburgh.
"They wanted to know how the village had coped over the 12 weeks and that information will go to Countryfile producers to decide whether they are going to come.
“She did say it would be on a much smaller scale than normal but it would be quite good for the village if we could get Countryfile up here.”

Hide AdA number of businesses in Bamburgh and the surrounding area offered additional services to help local residents unable to get out and about during the early weeks of the coronavirus outbreak.
The team visited Amble in 2018 and Northumberland also featured in the 2018 Christmas special with the spotlight on the Bird and Bush pub and First and Last microbrewery in Elsdon.
